# Feline Dentistry

Dental health is a crucial aspect of your cat's well-being, with dental issues being alarmingly widespread amongst felines.

Feline dentistry plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall health and well-being of our beloved cats. Dental issues, such as plaque, tartar, gingivitis, and periodontal disease, not only cause discomfort and pain but can also lead to more severe health problems if left untreated. Infections in the mouth could potentially spread throughout the body and affect vital organs, such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

According to the esteemed Cornell University Feline Health Center, a staggering 50-90% of cats aged over 4 years suffer from some sort of dental disease.

These conditions are more likely to be treated in a cat (for a complete list of dental conditions, **[head over here:](https://tooth.vet/dental-conditions-full-list?hsLang=en)**
